The Director General of the Georgian Railway is paying an official visit to Serbia

The Director General of the Georgian Railway is paying an official visit to Serbia. In the scope of the visit meetings were held at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by Serbian Deputy Minister Lazar Radakovic, Director of Serbian Railway Infrastructure issues, Serbia Cargo  Director General of, Director of Serbian Railway Commercial-Transport  Operations and Directors of Operations Department.

 

David Peradze informed his Serbian colleagues  transit opportunities offered by the Georgian Railway to the Western Balkans region and its neighboring countries along with  the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Association member countries . The Serbian side also got acquainted with the commercial and logistical advantages of the route and shared visions to attract new freight. The parties agreed, that based on the information exchanged at the meeting, additional measures will be planned to outline the fields specific for cooperation. For this purpose, the management of the Serbian Railway will visit Georgia in the near future and a concrete action plan for cooperation between the parties will be developed.
