The Director General of Georgian Railway attended the General Assembly of the European Railway Community(CER) in Brussels. At the 71 st Assembly, the representatives of the member states of the organization summarized the year 2022 and talked about the plans for 2023. The head of the Community, Alberto Mazzola, presented to the delegates a list of projects to be implemented in 2023: among them, increasing the volumes of European railway traffic, ecological sustainability and maintaining the green status, finding additional investments for the railway sector, creating a unified ticketing system, attracting private investments and social issues as well, in particular   strengthening the role of women and their involvement in the railway sector. The General Assembly was held in discussion mode. At the end of the event, the delegates approved the next year’s action plan.
