In Tashkent the Georgian Railway delegation discussed China-Europe container transportation
A working meeting of the railway administrations and logistics companies held in Tashkent was attended by Kakha Gudiashvili –the Georgian Railway Freight Transportation Director. The main topic of discussion was the current challenges and future prospects of the corridor connecting Turkey and Europe through China Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The route, launched in 2019, is characterized by the container traffic growing trend. At the meetings, foreign colleagues discussed the obligations of the parties, shipping terms and tariff conditions for regular container transportation. They also hope that, despite the current situation in the region, the cargo turnover growth tendency along the existing route will remain.
