According to the “Georgian Railway” data for 6 months, 2019, revenue from the freight transportation increased significantly. Specifically, In comparison to the same period of the previous year, the revenue is 32,7 million GEL (23% )higher, and to the  same period of 2017- 20,8 million GEL ( 14%).

Although the crude oil rail transportation in recent years was signifacntly reduced, and  have fallen to zero in 2019, the revenue growth is  due to Increasing trend of dry freight rail transportation.   It is noteworthy, that from 2018 has begun attracting new freight for rail transportation, including Kazakh wheat and coal.
