Georgian Railway’s freight transportation rate is growing at a record pace. In January 2025, the company transported 14% more cargo than in the same period of the previous year – one million twenty-three thousand tons.

Georgian Railway’s revenue from freight transportation increased by 30%. And by 37% in the container transportation segment. To be more specific – the transportation rates of petroleum products increased by 21%, chemicals by 35%, and dry cargo by 70%.

As noted in the Georgian railway, the company’s goal is to maintain this growth trend throughout the year.
