Подписано трехстороннее Соглашение о назначении партнерского контейнерного судна

At the initiative of the Georgian Railway, an agreement was signed on the designation of the Partner Container Ship and regular communication on the Black Sea, from the port of Constanta (Romania) to the port of Batumia

A tripartite agreement was signed between the subsidiary of Georgian Railway JSC GR Logistics and Terminals, the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and the Romanian company Grampet.

The purpose of the Memorandum drawn up between GR Logistics and Terminals and Grampet is to transport container ships in the Black Sea. According to the Memorandum, a new regular container vessel will connect the port of Batumi with the port of Constanta in Romania as soon as possible. A simplified transportation procedure will increase the volume of cargo transportation in the corridor. Direct access to the EU market through Georgia is an advantage of this route. The transit time from China to the European market is reduced to 15 days. An efficient and qualified freight and logistics service plays an important role in the growth of the global economy. By signing this Memorandum, the subsidiary of the Georgian Railway GR Logistics and Terminals will make its own contribution to improving the competitiveness of the Georgian railway corridor.

It is worth noting that Grampet is one of the leading companies in the field of railway transportation in Europe. The GRAMPET Group transports nearly 22 million tons of cargo per year.
